Job Summary

CITGO, based in Houston, is a refiner, transporter, and marketer of transportation fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals and other industrial products. The company is owned by CITGO Holding, Inc., an indirect, wholly-owned subsidiary of Petroleos de Venezuela, S.A., the national oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. CITGO has more than 3,400 employees, a combined aggregate crude oil refining capacity of 749,000 bpd and 48 owned and/or operated petroleum product terminals, which position us as one of the largest most complex independent refiners in the U.S.

 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:   
* Assigned special  projects in the respective Operations Engineering group with a term end 
     presentation expected
* In the second work term the student will be assigned more challenging projects
* In the third work term, if applicable,  in addition to more challenging projects, the student
     takes over monitoring a processing unit

Minimum Qualifications

 

                                               
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
* Full-time Chemical Engineer student & completed 30 hours (Soph, JR or SR)
* Overall GPA of  3.0 or above (A=4.0) (Must provide proof of current GPA at time of hire to verify eligibility requirements are met)



ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
 
* Positions available Spring, Summer, and Fall 2018
 
* Valid Driver's License
  
* The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration.  Candidates selected for employment must meet eligibility criteria to obtain a TWIC card.
