Job Summary

The Information Technology Co-op/Intern will be introduced to the Refinery and the Information Technology Department. They will become familiar with IT policies, processes, and procedures, and will provide assistance to technical projects and services throughout their assignment. Target work hours:

  • Part-time for Spring and Fall Semesters (up to 20 hours/week)
  • Full-time for Summer Semester (up to 40 hours/week)

Minimum Qualifications


Responsibilities include web page/SharePoint team site development, support, and security analysis, user workstation support including testing and execution of a Windows 10/Office 2016 upgrade, new and existing custom application development and support, system/user administration tasks, and resolution of help desk tickets.  Additional projects may be assigned, with regular status reports required. End of term presentation expected.  


*Full-time student in Computer Science or related discipline & 60 semester hours completed, (JR or SR)

*Completion of programming classes

*GPA of 3.0 or above (A=4.0)



*C# .Net


*Microsoft SQL Server

*Office 2010/SharePoint 2010, InfoPath, Office 2016 suite


*Valid Driver’s License
*The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration.  Candidates selected for employment must meet eligibility criteria to obtain a TWIC card.
