    Job Summary

    The primary function of this position is to coordinate and provide high quality analysis and performance measurement of the hydrocarbon operational activities to drive value and increase profitability for CITGO. Also to provide support for Supply and Marketing, and Refinery operations through business analysis, performance measurement, data integrity, and control.

     

    This position involves working with Senior Management and key stakeholders to define and prioritize business problems and opportunities; exploring and scoping possible solutions to these problems utilizing data analysis and model development.

     

    The Senior Analyst-Performance Management and Information Delivery is also responsible for providing business analysis and performance support for Mid-Office Projects.

     

     

    The Senior Analyst-Performance Management and Information Delivery will coordinate and implement with other Mid-Office department employees to develop and implement a Corporate Trade Performance Management Program as well as incorporating necessary internal controls where risk has been identified within the corporation.

     

    The Senior Analyst-Performance Management and Information Delivery must have experience in information technology analysis tools, and/or financial analysis.  Experience in the oil/energy business is a plus, but not required if the candidate has advanced informational analysis tools and financial analysis skills. The individual must be able to demonstrate economic acumen and apply knowledge of finance, markets, to generate fundamentally sound decisions and/or recommendations.  Additionally, the individual must have the ability to apply analytical tools and techniques to transform data into actionable knowledge and the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of management and staff. 

     

    The Senior Analyst-Performance Management and Information Delivery show have developed leadership skills, initiative, strategic and analytical skills, and creativity as well as proficiency to articulate or translate complex information in a clear, meaningful and structured way to inform the audience and must be able to exert influence without formal authority.

     

    Minimum Qualifications

    • College Degree (Bachelors Level) Finance, Marketing, Business Engineering, or IT.
    • Minimum of 5 to10 years of experience in Business Optimization and Financial Analysis, OR an MBA and a minimum of 5 years of business experience.
    • Commitment and skills related to knowledge management and capacity development.
    • Superior communications and negotiation skills.
    • The minimum number of years of job related experience required by this job is 5 to 10 years.

     

    Job Duties

    1. Develop, analyze evaluate and make recommendations and presentations on performance management  pertaining to Supply, Marketing, Refining results to CITGO’s Senior Management.
    2. Provide an objective, independent view, analyze trends and develop recommendations on performance management issues.
    3. Works with the Mid-Office organization in the development and implementation of a Corporate Trade/Trader Performance Management Strategy and develop key relationships and knowledge of business units this position will support.
    4. Use key relationships, and knowledge of business strategy, trends and key events to identify new opportunities to improve business analytics, and performance management tools.
    5. Evaluate CPC cases for Marine Operations, Terminals and Pipeline, Aruba, and Pin Oak.
    6. Work with the Supply and Marketing, Lubricants, and Refineries to review work processes and reporting to recommend and implement changes that could provide greater efficiencies and cost savings.
    7. Lead other initiatives and special projects as directed by the GM Mid-Office, or the VP of Compliance and Strategy
