    Job Summary

    This is a Human Resources Internship position for the summer of 2019 at the CITGO Corpus Christi Refinery. The Human Resources Intern will be involved in recruiting, employee relations, and learning the Human Resources information systems. The Intern will experience a broad overview of the Human Resources Business Partner role and will be involved in all matters of day to day Human Resources activities.

    Minimum Qualifications

    *If currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, must be at least a junior level student in Business Management, Human Resources Management, or related field  

    GPA of 3.0 or above (A=4.0)




    *If enrolled in a graduate level program, must be enrolled part time in Business Administration or relevant field.

    *Experience with MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


    Candidates must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credentials Card)


    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration. Candidates selected for employment must meet eligibility criteria to obtain a TWIC card.

    *Must have current valid drivers license.*

    Job Duties

    *Provides support in the area of recruiting and employment.

    *Provides support in the processing of new employees to include orientation.

    *Maintains Human Resources information systems.

    *Performs routine and repetitive duties independently and according to established procedures and practices.

    *Performs special requests and other duties as assigned.
