    Job Duties


    Provides leadership and technical support to both company and contract personnel in the areas of operation, maintenance and repair for the electrical distribution systems within the Lake Charles Manufacturing Complex. As an Electrical Distribution Supervisor in the Maintenance department, duties include planning, scheduling and overseeing the operation and maintenance activities for the electrical distribution system. Responsibilities include management of the resource allocation and utilization of electrical resources to support operation of the refinery as well as CITGO's maintenance goals. Supervise the operation and maintenance of the electrical distribution system and manage the electrical program budget. Plan and schedule electrical equipment testing for all electrical distribution equipment and monitor compliance with testing intervals. Direct the work of the electrical testing contractors and specialty electrical contractors. Primary contact for Energy in regard to single line operation, switching and maintenance at the Utility Substations. Supervise maintenance and repair of high voltage equipment to assure quality of work, specification compliance, effective and efficient execution of work, and assure work history is documented. Troubleshoot and develop repair strategies to resolve deficiencies and equipment failures. Interfaces with Project Engineering to represent Maintenance during design, development and commissioning of electrical projects. Respond to unscheduled outages and other emergency situations on the electrical distribution system.


    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, plus 3 years of Refinery related electrical experience with emphasis on 13.8kV, 4.16kV and 2.3kV systems and equipment, including 3 years of experience working with NFPA 70 National Electric Code, NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace, InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA) standards and SAP production module.
