Provide technical support to multiple light oil truck terminals located in Texas and Louisiana. This includes emergency and preventative maintenance support for PLC's, terminal automation systems, electrical/electronic control systems and certain hydraulic systems related to the truck loading operations. Required to provide 24/7 support with allowance for scheduled time off for vacation. Job requires self-motivation and the ability to work with limited direct supervision. Company assets (tools and vehicle) will be provided with full responsibility for maintenance and care.
Degree in Applied Science such as Electrical, Instrumentation or Electronics is required, with an additional 2 years of experience preferred.
In lieu of degree, a minimum of 8 years of job related experience.
Extensive knowledge of PLC’s (including programming skills), automation systems, industrial instrumentation, computers, National Electrical Code requirements, and electrical/instrumentation troubleshooting skills.
This job may require anywhere from 40 to 70% travel, especially during special projects.
1. Provide technical support to assigned terminals to insure truck loading, pipeline and tank farm systems operate properly and safely. Provide the same support outside assigned area when covering vacation for others.
2. Provide support on electrical and automation projects within and sometimes outside, assigned area.
3. Provide emergency and preventative maintenance of electrical/ electronic equipment in assigned area.
4. Provide administrative duties,including but not limited to, keeping updated time sheet documentation; providing expense reports on time; keeping updated safety and electrical one-line diagrams in assigned area; assuring all bills are paid in a timely manner.
