Job Summary

Responsible for the support of Information Systems throughout the organization that include computing resources, local area networks, voice & electronic mail communications, and comparable Information Technologies needed by the Corporation with minimal supervision and independent judgment. Have a solid understanding on the basic operation of these systems with the expertise to solve simple infrastructure problems and assist in the resolution of more complex problems related to the business model.  Participate in shared service initiatives between company sites developing & supporting system strategies for local user needs as well as remote sites.  Participate in hardware/software evaluations and recommend systems suitable to corporate guidelines for established best business practices.  Utilize Change Management processes and support Disaster Recovery plans that promote continued operation of Information Systems within the organization.

 

Additional Job Duties:

  • Perform diagnostics and corrections as required to insure technical infrastructure facilities are operational
  • Coordinate and assist internal and contract personnel supporting IT systems within the organization
  • Maintain in-house database records on all systems as needed that include user files, security clearances, security firewalls, and related activities as needed on IT systems
  • Plan, implement and facilitate training programs for employees including management throughout the organization on the proper procedures for IT systems as they apply to the successful business model
  • Assist basic budget plans and recommendations for management related to routine operation, expense allocation, and recommend for payment as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field with an overall 3.0 GPA or above
  • Work experiences in field of study, preferred
  • Resiliency and ability to adapt quickly
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels in the corporation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Eligibility Requirements:
Ability to obtain a TWIC card: The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration. Candidates selected for employment must meet eligibility criteria to obtain a TWIC card.
