Manage/supervise/coordinate the routine, project and turnaround maintenance activities (this includes CITGO and contract personnel) in an operating area within the complex. This includes the safe execution of all field work in a cost effective manner. Develop as well as ensure knowledge and compliance of all CITGO procedures and policies by all CITGO and contract maintenance employees.
Eligibility Requirements: The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration. All candidates must be eligible to receive a TWIC in order to be considered for an offer.

1. Communicate/coordinate with operations and maintenance supervisors to establish area priorities as well as plant priority to effectively utilize available CITGO and contractor resources. Manage/administer the maintenance resources available to allow maximum utilization of the process equipment while minimizing expenses. This includes the review and assignment of work to make sure the resources available are used in the most efficient manner. Use SAP to confirm operations, order material, and track backlog.
2. Ensure that all work is performed safely. This is to be done by ensuring all workers understand their reponsibilities and work according to established procedures. The supervisor is to see to it that pre-job reviews, safety huddles, and other needed reviews are conducted when appropriate to facilitate safe work.
3. Establish expectations of performance for hourly personnel assigned. This includes establishing an expected amount of work to be done each day and following up to see that either expectations were met or that adequate explanations exist for shortcomings. When appropriate, counseling should be done to provide positive feedback or to take corrective action.
4. Set expectation and ensure that all hourly personnel and contract employees are knowledgeable of and comply with CITGO policies, procedures and specifications. This includes all safety, environmental, HR, and administrative policies and procedures.
5. Utilize technical expertise to help improve the reliability and overall performance of the processing equipment. Pursue continual growth and development in area of expertise to stay current with developments in area of expertise.
6. Facilitate and/or participate on teams to review procedures/investigate incidents/write policies/procedures/root cause failure analysis.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
