Job Summary

The Manager, Corporate Process Optimization is responsible for developing a process control program that includes:

  1. Directing activities of refinery process control engineers to deliver robust Advanced Process Control (APC) implementations across Citgo refineries.
  2. Developing a training program that ensures quality resources are capable of designing and maintaining APC applications. 

Minimum Qualifications

Degree:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.

The minimum number of years of job related experience required is:

  • 10 years. 

List any specialized training or unique skills required:

  • Is a technical leader with knowledge of advanced process control.
  • 10+ years in a highly regulated industry such as oil and gas, chemicals, or pharmaceuticals.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Able to inspire, coach, mentor, develop, and lead multi-disciplinary teams as well as throughout the organization.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration.  Candidates selected for employment must meet eligibility criteria to obtain a TWIC card.

Job Duties

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain a plan for maximizing plant capability through advanced process control strategies.
  2. Develop, identify, and share best practices within the refineries to achieve consistent application and maintain process excellence.
  3. Develop, implement, and maintain a training program for APC engineers and designers across all refineries.
  4. Manage vendor and contractor relationships that supply technical capabilities to projects and ongoing Operations/ Maintenance support.
  5. Develop KPI’s and publish to refinery and executive leadership.
  6. Participate in technical seminars, conferences, etc. to stay current with industry trends and technologies.
