Job Summary

This role is responsible for the implementation of work processes and systems that support improvements in mechanical availability and cost efficiency.  The role is also responsible for the use of data and analytics to identify opportunities for improvement as well as the root causes of gaps in performance; this includes advancing efforts to address data quality issues.  Finally, this position is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of a digital tool for collecting KPI’s and representing KPI’s on dashboards created for multiple levels of the corporation. The role will also perform analytics on maintenance and reliability databases and processes with the intent to significantly improve earnings. The position must seek best practices, use of best technology, and establish a spirit of collaboration and continuous improvement with the company business units.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree:

  • High School Diploma. Required.
  • Bachelor's Degree. Preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering is strongly preferred. Specific equivalent experience in the field will be considered in lieu of degree.

The minimun number of years of job related experience required by this job is:

  • 12 years.

  • This is a senior leadership position that requires excellent technical data analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge of maintenance and reliability work processes, as well as SAP, is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Refining or Petrochemical industry.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration.  Candidates selected for employment must meet eligibility criteria to obtain a TWIC card.

Job Duties

  1. Provide maintenance and reliability analytics support to the business units by reviewing work processes and data quality, identifying opportunities for improvement and leading implementation effort. This requires good understanding of technical work processes and interaction with maintenance and reliability managers and supervisors to properly analyze technical data and provide recommendations for improvement. Leverage on data for reporting to increase visibility, accountability and make informed decisions.  Work closely with maintenance and reliability personnel to understand and optimize their work processes, by eliminating waste and addressing problems with data quality, for example, proper work order management, reduce workorder backlog, accuracy of Bill of Materials, material master utilization, etc.
  2. Improvement and integration of existing maintenance and reliability systems, ensuring quality of data. This includes but it is not limited to, reviewing existing software, applications and databases used at the refineries to manage maintenance and reliability functions (SAP, PCMS, others), review unused functionalities that could be implemented to add more value to the process.
  3. Responsible for managing process to develop, implement and maintain digital dashboards to report performance metrics and required information to the business units to improve decision making process and drive execution performance. Define and maintain different levels of KPI’s (Corporate, Refinery Leadership team, Maintenance organization). Collaboration with maintenance and reliability departments to continuously seek opportunities to analyze technical data and identify saving opportunities.
  4. Responsible for managing identification of business units needs to implement new technologies to improve maintenance and reliability work processes and efficiencies. Responsible for managing and leading team meetings to select companies, provide training, support implementation, work process optimization and stabilization. Responsible for managing special projects with consulting companies to assess and provide recommendations to improve work processes and efficiencies to reduce operating expenses. This includes coordinating meetings, bid processes, making presentation to Corporate Management and Refinery Leadership Teams.
  5. Collaborate with Maintenance Excellence Managers to implement maintenance and reliability work processes and tools at all business units including Terminals & Pipelines and Lubricants. This includes SAP notification and workorder management system, Planning and Scheduling tools, maintenance and reliability best practices, training, etc.
