Job Summary

Responsible for overall safety performance of assigned personnel and contractors, efficient execution of repairs and project maintenance assignments, proper administration of assigned personnel and proper coordination of assigned duties. Supervises the production and activities of salaried non-exempt maintenance personnel and contractor craftsmen. Initiates work requests and plans daily work activities, permits set up of maintenance work. Sets up and coordinates maintenance work and maintains the safety and reliable operation of the terninal. Provides, facilitates interaction with other contractor groups.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree:

  • High School Diploma.

The minimun number of years of job related experience required by this job is:

  • 3 years.

List any specialized training or unique skills required:

  • Preferred: Vac Truck certified, DOT OQ Certified, Fork Lift certified. Hazcomm Technecian level certified.

  • A valid driver’s license is required.

Job Duties

  1. Coordinate and implement job permits for all contractor personnel. Initiate the start of the day with yard checks, and supply needed maintenace requests on a daily basis.
  2. Monitor safety related issues with the contractors on site. Coordinate all material deliveries due at the terminal for off loading. Operate the Backhoe when needed. Operate the vac truck when needed.
  3. Improve safety and environmental stewardship by monitoring procedures, policies and activities of employees and contractors. Initiate tailgate sessions; safety/environmental reviews with contractors; Safety Meetings and review TOS directives.
  4. Complies with the regulatory and safety requirements of the terminal and helps in safety meetings for the work force. Perform or direct the performance of maintenance on terminal equipment (i.e. vehicles, pumps, compressors, vac truck, etc).
  5. Provide supervision of Loading Rack maintenance and Related Rack Systems maintenance. Responsibilities include all operational components of terminal truck loading rack and associated systems. Included in these responsibilities is providing for uninterrupted operability and continuos maintenance of the rack filters, product meter accuracy, video security system, product pumps, grounding cables, and storage of necessary / critical repair parts.
  6. Set up stripping pumps for tank and product change overs. Check relief valves for accurate set pressures. Line up and help during RVP/VOC controlled seasons.
  7. Coordinate DOT inspections, as well as LDAR. Monitor pumps and motor maintenance and develop and implement a maintenance plan for the terminal vehicles and equipment.
  8. Determination of required parts and supplies for all maintenance from janitorial to industrial equipment parts and supplies. Ordering, receipt, storage and distributing of supplies.
