Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining mechanical, pipeline, and electrical/electronic equipment in optimum operating conditions. Responsible for inspections and documentation on equipment to meet State and Federal guidelines. Performs line locates and pipeline inspections. Performs oil spill response and clean up.  Manages company assets such as vehicles, tools, and test equipment.  Supervises contract work.  Maintains company's high standard for safety and workmanship.  Must carry a cell phone and be available.  Mandatory on-call 24/7, nights holidays and weekends to support maintenance, operations, and emergency response activities.  Must have valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a TWIC card.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Associate degree.

The minimum number of years of job related experience required by this job is:

  • Associate degree in Electronics & Instrumentation (E & I) with 0 years of experience or High School Diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of Pipeline and/or E & I Technician experience in the oil and gas industry.

List any specialized training or unique skills required:

  • Proven trouble shooting and technical ability.
  • Electrical and Mechanical trouble shooting experience.
  • Understanding and troubleshooting of rotating equipment (pumps and tank mixers) and other mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to evaluate and resolve a wide variety of problem situations.
  • Ability to perform multiple pipeline functions.
  • Ability to be flexible and innovative in thinking and working.
  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration.  Candidates selected for employment must meet eligibility criteria to obtain a TWIC card.
