Job Summary

A Programs Maintenance Planner at CITGO Petroleum Corporation’s Lake Charles Manufacturing Complex is responsible for determining the scope of work and developing detailed plans for the coordination and execution of maintenance tasks. The Programs Maintenance Planner duties include creating equipment and personnel work schedules, maintaining equipment information, history, and databases, and developing estimates for maintenance tasks needed for execution of Programs Maintenance work. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan all critical and routine equipment repairs related to the Area assigned. Facilitate and plan maintenance work scope development, cost estimation, schedule duration, coordinate repairs, and ensure accuracy of documentation.
  • Support the area team by managing projects for unscheduled critical equipment repairs utilizing technical, inspection, engineering, reliability and Process Engineering resources to supply logical work steps that maximize schedule and manpower
  • Utilize SAP plant maintenance interface to assist Program Area Maintenance Supervisor as the subject matter expert generating MEP (maintenance expense project) documents, routing expenditures for approval, as well as obtaining the required authorization for expenditure documents associated with capital work executed by the Maintenance Program team
  • Create and present presentations on safety communication, project and cost business updates, manpower, and schedule utilization
  • Interface with the purchasing department on procurement of goods and services. Ensure the most qualified, cost effective, and quality contractors are procured for execution of work assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related technical field, plus two years of refinery maintenance experience, or
  • Associate degree in related technical field, plus four years of refinery maintenance experience, or
  • Six years of related maintenance experience, in lieu of degree
  • Experience with basic SAP functions
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Valid driver’s license required

Hourly employees must be qualified as a temporary supervisor according to the Supervisor Development Process (OSDP, MSDP, or LSDP) and meet minimum qualifications listed above

 

Eligibility Requirement: The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration. Candidates selected for employment must meet eligibility criteria to obtain a TWIC card.
